Course contents :

| The course is divided into two parts:
An oral communication course: activities aiming at enriching the vocabulary, text reading, discussions, role plays, case studies, presentations and listening comprehension.
A course offering a revision of the English grammar mainly based on the development of the writing skills in English (letters, emails, essays and summaries). |

Learning outcomes of the course :

| The objective is to reach the B2 level by working on the four competences. |

Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :

| Students must have a B1 level at least. |
 |
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
 |
| The oral communication course will propose listenig and speaking activities thanks to debates, role plays and case studies. Vocabulary activities will also be done.
The written communication course will make students work mainly in writing. The assignments will serve as a basis for the revision of the grammar. |

| The notes for the course will be given in class by the professors. The vocabulary, the listenig comprehension and the feedback of the various exercises will be available on lol@. |

Assessment methods and criteria :

| Oral communication course: 50% of the total mark: case study and listening comprehension in the January exam.
Written communication course:
In-class marked assignments: written homework in which students will show their ability to write using correct English and respecting English conventions (20%)
Written exam (January): writing of a letter, an essay and a summary (30%) |
