Course contents :  
The aim of this course is to develop the knowledge and the know how acquired by the students during the first years, as much from a linguistic point of view (grammatical structures, specific vocabulary) than on the level of the knowledge of business life in Germany.

Learning outcomes of the course :  
The student should reach the European level (http://www.coe.int/t/dg4/education/elp/elp-reg/Source/Global_scale/globalscale.pdf)B2-. He should be able to:
  • understand the main ideas of complex text in his/her field of specialisation.
  • interact stressless with native speakers
  • produce clear, detailed text on familiar subjects
  • explain a viewpoint on a topical issue
  • professionally communicate on the phone and online
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Discovering various aspects of business life in Germany (vocabulary and several cultural and economic aspects) Exercises in the multimedia lab,, in the language lab, online, in the group or at home, to develop the 4 communication skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking)
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
At least 21 hours in the classroom + homework + on line work.
Recommended or required readings :  
Consulting regularly Lol@ is absolutely necessary.

Assessment methods and criteria :  
The student may choose between two ways of evaluation:
1. Continuous evaluation
Students who actively participate to at least 70% from the classes become a mark and have no exam. If they don't agree with this mark, they may take the classical exam. 2. Classical exam
Written (50 %)
listening comprehensions, written essay
Oral (50 %)
- reading comprehension (articles) - debate - role playing The student who doesn't take all the parts of the exam will become 0/20 as final mark.
