Learning outcomes of the course :
 |
| The student will gain basic knowledge on the changes that the consumed food undergoes in the digestive tract, the fate of the nutrients and the effects on the functioning of the human body. The student will gain insights in the need of macro- and micronutrients for humans. Special aspects (such as diseases, allergies,...) related to nutrition will be highlighted. |
