| French language |
Organisation and examination :
| Teaching in the first semester, review in January |
Course contents :
| The course is an introduction to the analysis and synthesis of nonlinear dynamical systems. The mathematical tools are illustrated on different applications, preferentially in the field of neurodynamics. Further specific illustrations are investigated by the students through individual projects. |
Learning outcomes of the course :
| The course presents the basic mathematical tools used in the modeling and analysis of nonlinear dynamical phenomena: bistability and multistability, limit cycles, excitability, modeling of cellular and network rhythms, bifurcations and strange attractors. |
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :
| SYST002-1 or an equivalent course on linear systems |
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
| a homework to hand out each week during the semester
+ one final project |
