Course contents :  
Introduction : concepts and model of development of the disabled person
perceptions of the disability. Concepts of impairment, inadaptation and handicap.International classification. Exampls of use of those concets in practice
development of the disabled person at various problems occuring at successive stage of development (from birth to adult age)

neuro-motor disability : overview; development of the CP child : characteristics in cognitive and personnality functionning
Therapeutic intervention (Bobath and Conductive education)
Multiple and severe intellectual disability
Intellectual disability : overview, development of young children with ID : motor , langage, cognitive development in various syndromes
Perdsanity disorders in ID and ageeing
therapeutical and psychopaedagogical intervention
Individual plan : evaluation of needs and elaboration of an ID. Role of the physiotherapist
Integration of DP and quality of life : theoretical and practicval aspects.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Give to furure graduate in physiotherapy notions on psychological characteristics of the develoment of persons with neuro-motor or intellectual disabilities ( various syndromes)
Show the importance of psychopaedagical interventions to better the quality of life of disabled persons
give an idea about the work of physiotherapist in multidisciplinary teams.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Lecture needs to have acquired some notions in neurology and general psychology

Oral presentation, video, discussion, intervention of professionals
