Course contents :
 |
| The course is given by two teachers:C. Remacle and J. Michaux
C. Remacle (12,5h)
The course is divided in 5 chapters
(1) Populations and polymorphisms (2) Hardy and Weinberg law (3) self mating, consanguinity and homogamy (4) factors leading to population variations (5) Speciation
Problems
J. Michaux (12,5h) The course is divided in two parts. The firs one concerns populations genetics and has as aim to give the main bases concerning the F-statistics (Fst, Fis, ..). Different recent methods (bayesian approaches, clustering methods...) are also explained. Different examples are give with a particular emphasis to conservation genetics. The second part concerns the phylogeography. Many examples are given to illustrate the different methodologies associated to this field of research. |
 |
Learning outcomes of the course :
 |
| At the end of the course, the student will be able to describe the dynamics of populations and to solve problems in this domain. |
