Course contents :  
The project of 3BAP is composed of three parts, each one supervised by one of the course responsibles. Every part is composed of one or more exercises.
Themes or concepts treated: the Natural Park of the Scheldt valley, landscape perception, the contrast between the physical environments of urban and rural areas, etc.
The project aims to stimulate students to take initiatives and to reinforce their capacities to work in groups; moreover, it is developed to offer opportunities to the students to apply and integrate the theoretical concepts of their courses.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Students are able to integrate different methods and types of information with regard to landscape analysis and perception.
Students are able to work in groups and to formulate development options for a particular site.
Students are able to take initiatives to collect information on a particular site, to interpret different information types and to apply new methods.
Students understand the differences between urban and rural environments and understand how to express them quantitatively.
Students are able to perceive landscapes on a structured and objective base.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Every exercise is preceded by an introduction prepared by the principal supervisor of that exercise.
Field excursions and visits are planned. Activities are group projects or individual projects; this is determined by the type of exercise. Principal activities consist of data collection, data integration and data interpretation; different types of data are dealt with; the objective is to obtain an interpretation of the (meta)data. Group and student autonomy is encouraged.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
Autonomous work supervised during the weekly sessions. One session every week, an entire day (wednesday)
Recommended or required readings :  
Useful lectures will be communicated during the sessions.
Assessment methods and criteria :  
Every exercise is graded by a competent jury (ad hoc composition). Evaluation criteria and evaluation procedures are communicated beforehand by the supervisor of the exercise.
