Learning outcomes of the course :  
The aim of the course is to give the basis of biological wastewater treatment. We introduce the concept of municipal water treatment, then usual systems as activated sludge are presented.
After completing the course the student is expected to
state the different steps of wastewater collect, treatment and release in the environment
describe the main wastewater treatment scheme
describe untreated raw water impact on surface water
