Course contents :
 |
| The introduction includes a thorough definition of the words anatomy and physiology, as well as a description of the methods used to study these topics. The core of the lectures concerns the nervous and the endocrine systems. In particular, the physiology of the neuron, the anatomy and the physiology of the central, peripheral and autonomous nervous systems, and the integration mechanisms of the nervous and endocrine systems will be detailed. The cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, digestive and immune systems will also be studied, emphasising the influence of the autonomous nervous system on their functioning. |

| Study physiology, and secondarily, anatomy, essentially insisting on the nervous and endocrine systems. |

Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :

| The biology class for the first grade bachelors in psychological and educational sciences. |
 |
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
 |
| No practical exercices. However, teaching students provide rehearsal classes during the academic year, chapter after chapter. It is highly advised that the students attend these classes. |

Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :

| Two lectures a week, each for two hours. |

| Yes, a syllabus (book) is available, published by the University of Liège. Furthermore, all slides (PPT) used during the lectures are available on MyUlg and on CD Rom. |

| A multiple choice questionnaire is used. Because anatomy is partly studied in this class, part of the examen will include figures |
