Course contents :  
Responsabilities, objectives and programs of teacher trainers in High Teaching schools, precisely linked to the competences approach:
- Democratical issus and inequal risks of a competences approach;
- Risks of learning inequals liked to different didactical approaches;
- Critical analysis of the prescribe: frame of reference and programms of different teaching networks.
- Appropriate methodologies for ressources acquisition (knowledge, know-how and attitudes) and for the development of competences.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
- To make own the theoritical, decreed and methodological basis of the competences approach at different school levels.
- To try out and regularize building methodologies for futur teachers similar to those they would use in Hgh Teachnig schools:
° to put the school-fellows in situation to live an activity which could be carried out with young adults in High Schools
° to check comprehension by the school-fellows of the fundamental concepts
° to engage a reflection on the role of teacher Trainers.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Prerequisites: P157 - Professional Didactic and Teachers Initial Training (Part 1)
Co-requisites: practise in a High Teaching School which is closed to the course P 1129
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Two theoritical lessons introduce the course.
Practical work is devoted to the elaboration and implementation, in collaboration with other students, of training activities related to the different themes treated in class.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
The course is organised in 8 lessons (each one lasts 3 hours), including theoretical framing, the presentations of the students and the return of the training course. These eight lessons are given face-to-face. The students have to participate to those eight meetings.


The practical part is relating to the preparation of the workgroup at home or in schools.

The school notes are made up
- legal references relative to the considered topic (Décret Missions, Contrat pour l'école, Circulars concerning the teacher education, Socles de compétences, Curriculums of different schools,...)
- of a framing text « Former des enseignants pour une école juste et efficace » (Build teachers for an effective and equal school)
- a theoretical reference of professional Didactic: Beckers, J. (2007). Compétences et identité professionnelles : l'enseignement et autres métiers de l'interaction humaine. Bruxelles : De Boeck.
- complementary theoretical supports in order to support the work of each group.
A detailed teaching engagement is given to the students at the first lesson.
Assessment methods and criteria :  
The evaluation of the course is made up
- of a note allotted to the quality of the preparation, research task and its exploitation;
- of a note allotted to the management of the lesson: situation scenario and clearness of the explanations
Training(s) :  
A training course is organised in High Teaching schools. The students are divided into duet. You can refer to the teaching engagements YST60330-4 (120h) and YST600026-1 (60h) for some more information.
