Course contents :  
The lecture Educational psychology of learning basic school subjects aims at reviewing the available scientific knowledge about learning in different subject matters: reading and writing, mathematics, sciences, foreign languages.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Make the students familiar with developmental theories and psychological models on which learning is based upon. This lecture explores the links between psychology and pedagogy.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
The lecture Psychology of learning at school PSYC5836-1 gives the basis for this advanced course.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
None.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
3 hours sessions. The lecture is organized as a seminar with the participation of various researchers from the Unit of Analysis of Educational Systems and Processes, experts in the fields studied in the lecture.
Recommended or required readings :  
Several documents (ppt presentations and papers) will be made available to the students.
Assessment methods and criteria :  
Written examination with all material available or portfolio.
