2) Linear algebra : algebra for vectors and matrices ; linear systems ; characteristic values and vectors ; diagonalisation ; quadratic forms (without and with constraints) ; markov's chains ; generalized inverse ; linear programming ; theory of games. |
Learning outcomes of the course :
| To learn to be rigorous, to use mathematics in management, to solve concrete problems, to introduce to mathematical models. |
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :
| Principles of mathematical reasonings ; elementary algebra, ; basic trigonometry and geometry ; theory of real numbers. |
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
| Exercises in several groups. |
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :
| Semester 1 : calculus.
Semester 2 : linear algebra. |

Assessment methods and criteria :
| The final examination includes two equal parts :
a) theory, exercises and problems about mathematical analysis (written exam in january or/and june for the first session, in august/september for the second session); b) theory, exercises and problems about linear algebra (written exam in june for the first session, in august/september for the second session). |
