Course contents :  
In-depth study (in working groups) of a time period, a linguistic or didactic point of view, a significant figure etc in the history of Dutch language teaching in the Walloon provinces based upon an analysis of manuals from the time, school jotters or class notes and/or other primary sources or documents.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
1) Understanding of: see course description above.

2) Learning the basic techniques of scientific research and learning how to draft a research report.
3) Ability to use specialised literature in a critical way.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Perfect command of written and spoken Dutch.
