Course contents :  
Study of the work of Moroccon-born Dutch novelist Hafid Bouazza, within the context of changing views of the 'multicultural society' in the Netherlands.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Increasing the understanding of the ideological and cultural context of literature. Increasing the capacity to undertake discursive analyses.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Good command of spoken and written Dutch. Capacity to use the toolbox of literary/discursive analysis.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Lectures (introduction). Individual presentations and collective discussions (compulsory participation). Papers (on a voluntary basis).
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
Face-to-face. Supplementary materials will be made available online.
