Course contents :  
- Case study and identification of the constraints in local or international context
- Business units typology and the conditions of profitability
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Identification of the specific operators in the horticultural chain and their role in the chain management
Interests and constraints of the sector structuration
Approach of the production valorization processes
After completing the course the student is expected to
- Discuss the chain concept in relation to its implication for the business unit management;
- To identify and discuss the value chain and links between entrepreneurail activities.
- Conceive tools facilitating the management of the appropriate controls at the various steps of the chain
- Analyze the impact of the biotechnological options on the chain operators
