- Types of documentary institutions
-Research of bibliographical references in catalogs of libraries
-Storage in libraries - Notion of storage quotation
-Physical location of documents in a library
- Documentary research in various types of reference books
-Periodicals : specificities, newspapers, reviews, notion of "dépouillement" (content analysis) of periodicals
Learning outcomes of the course :  
The student should be able to :
-search and find all types of information about people, societies, companies, events,...
-distinguish and use various types of documentary institutions
-orientate into various categories of reference books
-ask correctly the web and its tools : search engines, catalogs of libraries online, specifical websites,...

-masterly lessons

The active presence during the sessions will occur in part in the overall score.
During the exam, the student will answer to theorical and also practical questions...and his method will be evaluated as well as his answers.
