Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Satisfactory knowledge of art history of the italian Renaissance. For a good understanding of the historical and cultural background, I recommend the HIST0147-1 seminar by Annick Delfosse (Rome renaissante : les mises en scène d'une ville).
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Ex cathedra lectures. Students will be responsible for collecting iconographical documentation and for short presentations.
