Course contents :
This seminar aims to accompany students in a concrete organizational research (defining their methodology, analyzing the collected data analysis, writing a report) through a collective survey. Large organizations (businesses, industries at risk, associations and collective networks) will be discussed from a particular angle: the social conflict.
Thus, after an initial introduction to the sociology of organized action and its specific methodology, the groups of two or three students will choose a "field" of investigation. This will consist in an organization which has experienced some social conflict over the last twelve months. This collective survey will be based on fifteen semi-structured interviews.
Two seminars of four hours will consist of a supervision of the data analysis (how to make some assumptions?) and their progressive integration in a report of investigation.
A fourth session will be devoted to the presentation and discussion of collective investigation reports.
