| Course contents : | A practical problem (dealing with plant breeding, chemical or biological control, the appropriateness of a technique of diagnostic,...) has to be analysed by the students. The students (group work) carried out a global analysis of the problem taking into account all aspects of the management of plant disease control ( including the social, economical, technological components) The conclusions of the group are presented in a written prouf refort during an oral presentation. |

| Course objective : | To provide a global view of the different strategies of plant diseases control through practical projects analysed by the student After completing the course the student is expected to - assess the impact of a disease on the host plant - search the methods of control available for that disease - select and integrate the best methods of control taking into account the social and economical components |
