Language :  French language
Course contents :  The course mainly consists in translation exercises that students will prepare at home, and which will then be corrected and discussed in class. The exercises will be based on texts from different sources (specialized journals, general and academic texts) and dealing with various topics relating to the students' chosen curriculum. This course does not involve a systematic revision of grammar.
Course objective :  Help students to understand and comment upon any academic text in English. The focus will be on the most complex structures of written language, as well as the lexical difficulties and elements of discourse that make the correct interpretation of an elaborate text difficult.
Prerequisites :  Good knowledge of English.
Workshops :  See course overview.
Organization :  45 hours during the entire academic year.
