Course contents :  1. Reminder of the principles of method, critical reading of the previous ones,
2. Outline of the theories on the social State
3. Illustration of the theories with help of researches developed within the CRIS
Course objective :  Reminder of the principles of research in social sciences, analysis of social policies and the future of the social State in Belgium
Prerequisites :  Good knowledge of the sociological literature
Workshops :  15 hours
Organization :  At first based on ex¿cathedra lectures, the course then turns to a progressive participation of the students
Written notes :  Particular link with another course of the programme: with the courses of methodology represented in the program

The readings are adapted to the annual research subject (social policies), documents will be supplied to the students as one goes along
