Course contents :  The interdisciplinary project is being carried out during the first quadrimester of the second Master year. It consists of a written report and an oral presentation enabling teachers to assess each student's contribution. The report is handed in to the project supervisor before the winter holidays. The supervisor organizes the assessment of the work, which takes place from week 17 to 20 in the presence of every team member.
Course objective :  The interdisciplinary project groups several students, preferably from different programs. It is being supervised by a team of competent teachers and other members of the Faculty or another institution or company.
A teacher from the Faculty, called below ¿project supervisor¿, takes on the responsibility of an interdisciplinary team, which should include at least two teachers from different units.
It gives students the opportunity to use globally their acquired knowledge in order to solve an engineering problem thoroughly and as a team. The project aims at stimulating creativity, critical thinking, and cooperation between the students.
After completing the course the student is expected to
1. To promote an interdisciplinary approach of problems. The training students have received in the different courses favours a specialized approach in each discipline. The project should add to this the interdisciplinarity required in essence by our graduates' field of activity (biosystem management).
2. Confront the students with the constraints and requirements of scientific team work.
