Course contents :  
  • Introduction to Matlab
  • The mathematical concept of a system
  • Linear time-invariant (LTI) systems, examples of physical and biological LTI, construction of first-order and second-order models, numerical resolution of differential equations
  • Analysis of LTI systems using the Laplace transform, transfer function, poles and residues
  • Frequency response of LTI, Bode diagrams
Course objective :  After completing the course the student is expected to

  • describe SLP physical and biological systems by appropriate models
  • analyse their dynamic behaviour by using Matlab
