 |
| Course contents : | Priciples of computer generated images Gamma correction, aliasing and anti-aliasing strategies Colorimetry, perspective projection Curves and surfaces modeling Light properties of surfaces and models Ray tracing algorithms Radiosity computations and accurate rendering of scenes OpenGl basics |
 |
| Course objective : | The course is aimed at giving students a theoretical and practical knowlege of tools used in computer graphics. Two paradigms are studied : ray tracing approaches and projection approaches such as OpenGL. The common techniques of these image generation paradigms are developped, such as light interaction with surfaces and the geometrical description of these surfaces. More specific points pertaining to each of the approaches are also described. A practical training completes the theoretical lectures, along with a small project. |
