Course contents :  - Case story analysis per sector - fruit and vegetable production, ornamental and floriculture, nursery;
-Decision support systems : fundamental concepts, development and practical uses;
- Technico-economic analysis of targeted commodities;
- Analysis and interpretation of field experiments;
- Demonstration sessions and basic practices of plant technical management;
- Field demonstration of specific plant/field plot management.
Course objective :  Make use of the concepts and tools specific to horticulture in an approach integrating technological, ecological and economical aspects
After completing the course the student is expected to
- to interpret the production systems in term of biotic and abiotic interactions at the field and/or the farm level.
- to analyze and explain the implications of technical decisions according to the horticulture sector and crops : technological options, crop / culture timing and sequences.
- to discuss valorisation constraints ( varietal / trade options).
- get familiar with decision support systems and conditions of implementation.
