Course contents :  This course presents a large overview of the main stakes linked to strategic performance in companies and organizations and proposes an in-depth presentation of the different managerial tools and techniques used to implement efficiently strategic management in companies confrontated with fast-evolving environment, uncertainty and fierce competition. This course covers 8 different themes or chapters : - A global introduction to the concept of business strategy - An in-depth analysis of the global strategy process, including what is strategic thinking, how is built up a business strategy and how does it evolve over time - An in-depth analysis of the strategy content, including business level strategy, corporate level strategy and network level strategy. A special focus is put on the industry context.

Workshops :  At the start of the course, students are grouped in teams of 4 students
The course includes 8 sessions of 2 hours. Each session is composed by a theoretical presentations by a group and by an extended review of a case studies by another group.
The rest of the time dedicated to the course is used to prepare a case study that will support your oral exam.
Organization :  It will begin on Thursday, February 10, 2011, from 8.30 to 10.30, Building N1 (Rue Louvrex), and takes place every Thursday at the same time until April 28, 2011
