| Course contents : | Based on the fundamental principles of physics, this course explores the conversion mechanisms of electromagnetic energy into other forms of energy--mainly mechanical and thermal.
Applications studied cover transformers, different types of electrical machines (synchronous, asynchronous, DC) and electrothermics. |

| Course objective : | To provide the necessary tools to understand electromagnetic energy conversion phenomena, and the bases of their quantitative analysis using simple "circuit" type models. |

| Prerequisites : | Basic physics course; vector analysis course |

| Workshops : | The course includes laboratory sessions. |

| Organization : | 2nd quadrimester. |
