Course contents :  Study of the basis legal principles governing the negotiation, the formation and the performance of the contracts (including remedies for breach of contract). This first section of the course relies on the general law of obligations ; practical exemples are found in computer contracts. These contracts are studied in the second section of the course (ie contracts on purchase of hardware, contracts on softwares and contracts on maintenance of informatic systems). The last section of the courses is devoted to the law of 30 June 1994 on lega protection of softwares.
Course objective :  To provide the students with an overview of the basic legal principles governing the contracts that they may prepare or sign in their future business activities. It will not be asked from the student to understand in depth of the legal thinking, neither to know the details of the rules. The main goal is to draw their attention on the problems that they will probably meet.

Workshops :  No problem lectures
Organization :  The course (30 h) is given during the second semester at the Law Faculty. The official schedule can be modified with agreement of the students. The student representative may arrange the schedule question with the professor at the beginning of the second term.
