| Course objective : | The course aims at providing information and also analysis. With that in mind it does not merely provide essential information concerning the administrative status of foreigners but also looks to examine in general the ways the law treats contemporary migrations.
The course comprises of seven lessons corresponding to seven themes. Each theme looks at the links and overlaps between international law, European law, comparative law and Belgian law.
The Act of 15 December, 1980, on access to the national territory and establishing and postponing length of stay are thus not the only laws dealt with. |

| Organization : | The course is given in the classical manner (ex cathedra) followed by a collective examination of judicial decisions opened up for discussion. |
