CAPAES en sciences agronomiquesSecond semester3

Course contents :  The course "Professional accompaniment and evaluative practices" deals with why and how to develop professional competences and identity from the initial training on and with the role of evaluation in this process.

The more theoretical moments will clarify the concepts which will be used as a model to analyse the professional practice of the candidates.

Working in groups made up according to the trades CAPAES candidates prepare their students for (rather than according to their initial backgrounds) will make it possible for them to consider their approaches in their own professional fields.
Course objective :  This course mainly aims at developing competences 5 and 6 of the CAPAES decree, i.e. : to settle contents and processes within the professional reality of the considered training ant to help students with their theorical and practical learning and help them start a professional project.

A reflection as to the contribution of each candidate to professionalising device set up within his HE will be started during the classes.

The various courses will highlight the need for taking into account the practice of the trade to which the candidates train : its sociological context, the reality of the fieldworker's occupation.

They will also work on how essential it is to wonder how students get the progressive control of a professional situation and all its inner elements : the way you learn from and for acting and the way you enable students to gradually absorb trainings.

Moreover candidates will be led to take a critical look at the way they help students build up their identities.
Workshops :  Various tasks will be requested from the candidates throughout the training.

- To begin with a critical analysis of the occupation practice contexts ill be proposed. Candidates will be asked to think about the different situations in which whatever job they're coaching for can be performed. Following this first analysis, candidates will be invited to set up a discussion/debate with two people who work in the field they coach for.

- Candidates will be given as a second task to identify the different forms their students can imagine the trade they're being trained for can take and the way they will be able to cope with them. Candidates will be provided with information so that they can start to think about the development of professional identity.

- At last, a written work will be required, which will take into account the knowledge shared throughout the courses.

The candidate will be asked to identify how according to his place in the device already set up within his HE, he can help his students build up their professional identities.
Organization :  The course is organised through four work sessions (+/- 1h30 theoretical course and +/- 1h30 work sessions in smaller groups).
An optional meeting (by appointment only) will be possible for candidates who wish to ask more questions about the courses or the feedbacks of their works.
Written notes :  The course notes will gradually be available for candidates on the site of the IFRES. The course notes slides used during the power-point presentations will also be available there 7 days before the course.
Assessment :  Candidates will be expected to carry out various tasks based on questioning and reflection and will have to hand us in a final written report that will sum up the considerations developed throughout the year. This written work will be given personal feedback. In order to determine whether this course was passed - it will be checked that the requested interviews were effectively carried out

- the quality of the final written work will be assessed (specification to be determined during the classes).
