Course contents :  - Historical and bibliographical analysis of a chosen building. - Architectural survey drawings in all their forms, notably photos - plans - sections - details. - The project includes the different, distinct levels of intervention. - The details of execution.
Preliminary study and intervention on a building of high heritage value.
  • All forms of architectural survey drawings.
  • Identification of positive and negative opportunities.
  • Proposal for reassignment: verifying the sufficiency of the programme.
  • Intervention project: active integration.
Dialogue between heritage and contemporary intervention: detail.
Course objective :  Analysis of knowledge previously acquired in the form of a project; preparing a complete file as required in professional life.
Development of the ability to identify in an altered monument, what makes it of high quality, what are the best areas for intervention.
To broaden the problem of reassignment, integrating contemporary contingencies into the restoration project.
Prerequisites :  r34+r38+r36
Organization :  Based on the project as a pedagogical support:
  • Resolving a practical case of refurbishment.
  • Provoking more general questions to be discussed in the group.
Written notes :  To be defined with each student depending on their project.
Assessment :  Individual project developed according to the following steps:
  • Preparatory phase, choosing a subject on the basis of several propositions established by the student in the form of a preliminary file.
  • Historical research.
  • The project: each step will be subject to assessment.
