Course objective :  Legal education is increasingly important for future architects given the growing role of law in the design and execution of buildings.
In the private law course, teaching is divided into three parts.
The first part relates to property law, tackling the numerous questions which architects have to be able to identify. The concept of goods and property is specified before property in its various forms (in particular servitudes) will be more closely studied.
The second part is devoted to contract law, an indispensable tool for architects in terms of defining their missions, rights and obligations in the course of their profession. Relations with the contractor on one hand and the entrepreneur on the other will be analysed.
Finally, in the third part, a more in-depth study of particularly important laws for the architect is considered.
Throughout the course, specific cases and examples will be provided to students to allow them to put into practice the things they have learned.
Organization :  Lectures.
Written notes :  Provided during presentations.
Assessment :  Written exam to assess understanding of the information provided and its correct application in relation to economic challenges in the architectural profession.
