Course contents :  This course aims to develop some contributions of the main theories of learning for instruction.
It also discusses some characteristics of adolescents and young adults and their possible impact on learning.
Course objective :  · Discovering and understand the foundations of classical theories of educational psychology (behaviorism, constructivism, social constructivism and cognitivism) and some central concepts of these theories (types of knowledge, metacognition, , problem-based situations, cognitive conflict, scaffolding, etc..). · Discovering and understanding some characteristics of adolescents and young adults. · Analysing teaching practices in light of theoretical perspectives and core concepts of these theories. · Analysing the impact of certain characteristics of adolescents and young adults on their commitment to school and their learning. · Being able to take advantage of the theoretical contributions to analyze one's practice and to design improvements and innovations in teaching.

Written notes :  Various documents (some scientific texts and a copy of the ppt) will be made available to students.
Assessment :  Written exam.
