Presentation

The Advanced Master is organized in collaboration with the Free University of Brussels.
It aims to provide the student with knowledge, skills and attitudes to deal with many specific problems in hospitals. It prepares the pharmacist to conventional tasks such as acquisition, preservation, preparation and dispensing of medication in the particular context of this sector, quality of care and the best use of available resources. Moreover, it forms the student for more specific tasks, imposed by existing legislation in order to optimize the use of drugs in the hospital : clinical pharmacy and pharmaceutical care, quality assurance, therapeutic form , pharmacovigilance, information, recommendations, applied research.

The subjects taught are adapted to the recommendations of the European Union's consultancy committee on specialisations in pharmacy, whilst restricting their length to one year. Moreover this qualification allows the pharmacist the possibility of obtaining official recognition as a hospital pharmascist, in terms of the regulations of 11th June 2003 (08/07/2003).
