Presentation
|
Theoretical and practical training of doctors specialising in anaesthesia-reanimation. At the end of the their training, students will be capable of adminstering the most appropriate form of anaesthesia and intensive care for all elective or emergency patients requiring a medical or surgical intervention: furthermore, they will have acquired a particular expertise in the domain of the treatment of acute and chronic pain, and in the domain of taking care of emergencies in and outside of hospitals. The will be capable of integrating these techniques within the framework of coherent pre-, per- and post-operational care.

The complementary Masters in anesthetics-reanimation also gives the doctor who is awareded it the required training in emergency aid and intensive care, for adults as well as for children. In the two fields, nonetheless, further training can be obtained at the end of one or two more years in order to obtain particular professional qualifications as specialist doctor in emergency aid and intensive care.

Particular requierements
|
- Being a doctor of Medicine qualified to practice in Belgium
- Being in possession of official evidence that you have succeded the selection test for access to the complementary Masters organised by the Ulg's Faculty of Medicine

Duration
|
- Five years of study : two years of basic study (FUS) and three years of specialised eductaion.
- Spreading the courses over several years is obligatory for FNRS delegates or holders of an equivalent mandate.
