| Course contents : | The course of semiology of production animalsis composed of 13 different chapters :
- Contention of ruminants
- General examination of ruminants
- Examination of the respiratory system of ruminants
- Examination of the digestive system of ruminants
- Examination of the locomotor system of ruminants
- Examination of the urinary system of ruminants
- Semiology of the female genital tract
- Oestrus detection
- Pregnancy diagnosis
- Semiology of the male genital tract
- Semiology of obstetrics
- Semiology of the udder of the cow
- Semiology of the pig |

| Course objective : | The main objectives of semiology in theriogenology are to describe hormonal and non hormonal methods used to diagnose normal and abnormal situations in reproduction, obstetrics or udder health. The more specific objectives are declined as knowledge, understanding and application objectives . |

| Prerequisites : | General knowledge in anatomy, embryology and physiology are considered as prerequisite. |
 |
| Workshops : | Nine practical works are organized in the field of semiology of production animals, 8 in relation with cows and 1 in relation with pigs. |
 |
| Organization : | The curse is given in amphitheater and on the e-learning plateform Web CT. |
 |
| Written notes : | Available at the "Office des Cours".
For each chapter of the course in theriogenology, the students have word and Power point notes. |

| Assessment : | Evaluations are organized using multiple choice questions. |
