Course contents :  This course has 5 parts and 23 chapters. The first part is dedicated to reproduction pathologies observed during the waiting period (anoestrus, placental retention, endometritis, ovarian cysts, uterine involution delay), the reproduction period (infertility, embryonnic mortality), the pregnancy (abortion...) or in the male. The second concern obstetrics. The third present the biotechnologies of reproduction. The fourth describes an individual and herd approach of mastitis. The last part is reserved to the pathologies observed in pig reproduction.
Course objective :  The general aim of the course is to present the different reproduction, obstetrical or mastitis problem distinguishing individual and herd approach.
Prerequisites :  General knowledge of anatomical, physiological or histological aspects of reproduction and semiology of reproduction are considred as prerequisites.
Workshops :  All the student are obliged to assist to the clinics organized by the department (individual cses, herd visits and pig clinic).
Organization :  The courses are given in amphitherater and also using the e-learning plateforme Web CT. The courses are organized during the first semester.
Written notes :  The different Word and Power Point notes of all chapters can be down loaded from the plateforme Web CT or from the website of the service of theriogenology.(http://www.fmv.ulg.ac.be/oga/index.html )
Assessment :  Certificatives and formatives tests are organized for the students using multiple choices questions.
