Course contents :  In depth study of questions in aesthetics and the philosophy of art. The theme of the course varies from year to year (the work of art and its meanings ; different aesthetic theories, etc.). To find out the theme for any given year, check the website for the Philosophy Department. Different speakers are brought into the class (doctoral candidates, other teachers from the ULg or other universities).
Course objective :  To allow students to identify in a precise fashion a problem in aesthetics or philosophy of art, and approach it from several different points of view.
Prerequisites :  None.
Workshops :  Students will be asked to participate by giving an oral presentation, which will later be the subject for a written paper.
Organization :  Length and time period : 30 hours, 1st quadrimester
Location and schedule of course : room 3/28A, Thursday from 10h to12h.
