| Course contents : | - Introduction to Palliative Medicine and End of Life. - Pain in palliative medicine and its control. - Multidisciplinarity and team work. - Treatment of non-painful symptoms at the end of life. - Mournings and ethics at the end of life. - Euthanasia : belgian legislation practice in the hospital and at home |

| Course objective : | - To inform and train the future doctors about continuous or palliative care, complementary to curative care, and in connection with the end of life at home, in convalescent home or in the hospital. - To familiarize with the ethical principles and the application of legal texts relating to palliative care and euthanasia. - To participate in a multidisciplinary approach of patients care, at the end of life. |
