Principles of measure, inference, and properties of the tests
Analysis of the major scales for assessing language development and functioning
Difficulties in assessing language
The analysis of free speech
The interpretation of language data
Course objective :  Sensitize the student regarding the potential as well as the limits of the tools available for assessing language development and functioning.
Prerequisites :  PSYC0016 Psychology of language
Organization :  Seminars, presentations, and personal work

Assessment :  Based on :(1) a written report on a specific topic chosen by the student in relation with the course and submitted at the end of the seminar; (2) the active participation of the student in the seminar sessions;(3) a written examination.
