Course contents :  Following a theoretical section on the different registers of the English language and the notion of style, the course will be devoted to various exercises (translations, analytical commentaries on written and oral sources, oral presentations by students, etc).
Course objective :  Improve the understanding of registers in order to arrive at an analytical approach to the linguistic phenomena involved; learn to perform stylistic analyses of literary and non-literary texts.
Prerequisites :  Very good knowledge of English; Langue anglaise II et Linguistique I.

Written notes :  Available from the beginning of the course.
Assessment :  Written and oral exam.
