Course contents :  Morphological approach based on Algemene Nederlandse Spraakkunst.
Course objective :  A fair command of the language.
Prerequisites :  You must have passed the 1st BAC degree.

ex cathedra (theory).
Exercises on grammar and translation.
Compulsory Reading: 30 p. in the Dutch magazine Elsevier.
Advised Reading: Dutch and Flemish newspapers.

ANS: Algemene Nederlandse Spraakkunst.
Nouveau dictionnaire contrastif des prépositions F-N (Theissen/Hiligsmann/Lousberg).
Uitdrukkingen en Spreekwoorden van A tot Z (Theissen/Hiligsmann).
Terminologie grammaticale (syllabus).
L'emploi de l'article (syllabus).
Assessment :  Examination: June.
Test on Dutch phrases and grammatical terminology (test covering part of the subject matter students otherwise have to study for the final exam).
Written examination (essay, exercises on grammar, translation French-Dutch, Dutch-French) and oral examination (correcting the written examination, grammatical theory, analysis of one of the articles in Elsevier.
