Course contents :  I. Who was Zoroaster? II. Iranian pantheon and Avestan texts. III Zoroastrian eschatology. IV. Darius' political mazdeism.
Course objective :  To provide a better understanding of the texts seen in Old and middle Iranian languages and to show the links with other old oriental religious traditions.
Prerequisites :  Nothing
Workshops :  To read J. Kellens, Qui était Zarathushtra?
Organization :  30 h spread out over the first semester. Timetable set with the students. Opening session in September announced on Section notice board. The attendance is obligatory.
