Course contents :  Beginning with the synthesis proposed by J. Carpentier and Fr. Lebrun, Histoire de l'Europe, coll. "Points Histoire", Paris, Seuil, 1992, chap. 12-17 (p. 194-293), the course will take up various aspects of political, economic, cultural and religious history of the modern period, as well as a number of sources employed by the historians of that period.
