Course contents :  The origins of the great contemporary problems: nationalities and alliances in Europe, imperialism and expansion abroad.

ULg is a French-speaking University situated in a French-speaking area. The courses will, of course, be delivered in French, as well as the text-books, written and oral examinations, papers and reports. Foreign students are expected to master the language first.
Course objective :  Balance of power, geopolitics and geostrategy, importance of national, political and economical factors in international relations.

Assessment :  Interrogation dispensatoire éventuelle et facultative en février sur le 1er syllabus (10 questions d'identification et une question à rédiger). Examen oral en juin.
