| Course contents : | Main types of sedimentary deposits. Properties of extracted rocks in relation with their genesis and their industrial use. Some aspects concerning carbonated rocks. Geological model to forecast carbonate deposits. |

| Course objective : | Basic knowledge and methodology for prospecting, recognizing, developing and mining sedimentary non-metallic deposits. |
|
| Prerequisites : | 1 licence in geology or equivalent. |
|
| Workshops : | Macro and microscopic study of rocks having an economic interest. Visit of quarries. |
