Course contents :  In depth study of some geotechnical works : deep foundations, retaining structures, tunnels, earth dams and dykes.
Course objective :  To understand and to apply design and analysis of geotechnical structures. Study of deep foundations, of retaining structure, tunnels, earth dams...
Prerequisites :  Solid mechanics, basic geotechnics.
Workshops :  Some project developed personally or within small groups. Design and dimensioning of geotechnical structures on actual soil.
Organization :  Course during 1st semester.
Written notes :  Available to students, Acrobat files.
Assessment :  Based on project reports, project oral presentation, and oral exam on theoretical part.
