Course contents :  After a general and epidemiologic introduction, each system is more deeply studied: recall of normal physiology and then evolution during ageing.
So are successively studied the cardio-vascular, respiratory, renal, digestive, immune, endocrine, and neurologic systems. The targets of the lectures being students in psychology, the study of the nervous system is much deeper.
The general care for the elderly is also discussed, as well the recent progress regarding ageing research.
Course objective :  To understand the physiopathological mechanisms underlying ageing and their consequences on the humain body.
Prerequisites :  The syllabus "Anatomy and Physiology", which was studied in the first year of bachelor in psychological sciences.
Workshops :  They can be organised at the request of the students.
Organization :  Two lectures of two hours each a week
Written notes :  Yes, a syllabus can be purchased at the Editing Office of the University of Liège
Assessment :  A written examen (open questions), followed by an oral exam on the same day.
