| Course contents : | The introduction to this course comprises a theoretical and clinical study of the procedure for putting in place a framework of treatment suitable for psychodynamic and analytical approaches, of the importance of that framework and of its symbolical aspects.
Next, the theoretical and clinical way of looking at psychological problems in adults will be considered both in terms of diagnoses of structure and in connection with narcissistic pathologies: neurotic structures, borderline structures and psychotic structures, narcissistic problems and perversions. In particular, the borderline states and narcissistic disorders so frequently encountered in current clinical medicine will be developed in detail.
Conceptual illumination will be based on classical psychiatry, Freudian metapsychology and the ideas of post-Freudian theoreticians: Mélanie Klein, Daniel Winnicott, René Roussillon, André Green, Otto Kernberg, etc.
Clinical thinking will be illustrated by various texts, accounts and vignettes.
A study of certain specific features of transference and counter-transference will accompany the various stages of this course. |
