| Course objective : | Learning the first rudiments of the language. Introduction to the Devanágarí script. |

| Prerequisites : | A good knowledge of French grammar |

| Workshops : | Preparing the exercises. |

| Organization : | 30 h spread out over the first semester. Timetable set with the students. Opening session in September announced on Section notice board. The attendance is obligatory. |
